Empowering the people of West Bengal to protect their natural heritage and build a sustainable future together.
Universal Tree Lovers began with a small group of passionate nature enthusiasts in Kolkata who witnessed the systematic destruction of ancient trees for urban development. Outraged and determined, they pledged to fight back — not with anger, but with action.
"A tree is not just wood; it is a life support system for an entire community."
Today, we are a statewide network of thousands of volunteers, scientists, and local community members, working across all 23 districts of West Bengal — from the high-altitude reforestation in the Himalayas to mangrove restoration in the Sundarbans.
To restore, protect, and celebrate the forests and trees of West Bengal through community-driven action, scientific planting, and sustained environmental awareness.
A West Bengal where every citizen is a guardian of their local ecosystem — where trees are valued as living heritage and forests flourish as the lungs of our civilization.
